ABOUT
Topman511 Hi-Fi Repairs started as a personal interest and hobby over five years ago and has gradually grown into a dedicated small vintage hi-fi restoration business.
I have always had a strong interest in vintage audio equipment, particularly classic hi-fi from the 1970s and 1980s. Over the years I began repairing and restoring equipment for myself and then for other people, and the work gradually grew through word of mouth and eBay, where I built up excellent feedback and a strong reputation for careful repairs, honest descriptions, and very careful packaging.
Today I repair and restore equipment for customers across the UK and internationally. Much of my work involves Bang & Olufsen Penta systems, where I have developed a lot of hands-on experience working on the amplifiers, displays, drivers, and crossovers. I particularly enjoy restoring equipment properly so that it will continue working reliably for many more years.
Many of my customers have become repeat customers over the years, and some have become friends through a shared interest in vintage hi-fi, which is one of the most enjoyable parts of this work.
I am not a large company – all work is carried out carefully and individually, and I take pride in doing the job properly rather than rushing repairs. My aim is always to repair equipment correctly, use good quality components, and return equipment in reliable working condition.
If you have vintage hi-fi equipment that needs repair or restoration, feel free to get in touch.
